Needy kids are getting 12,000 donated toys but what about all the batteries they'll need?

Thousands of open-hearted Vancouverites went to the Pan Pacific Christmas Wish Breakfast, organized by the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. So did the Solar Power Roadshow. We also brought several bags of revived batteries as an additional donation. Recycled alkaline batteries have also been handed out at bike lane openings for several years now by City of Vancouver staff, at the Sustainability Breakfast by GVRD staff, and at the "30 Days of Sustainability" at Science World, too. Larger revived electric wheelchair batteries were given out, for free, at several Vancouver locations, including an MP's constituency office, to our less-fortunate disabled citizens.
